14 DAYS CULTURAL AND WILDLIFE EXPERIENCE IN UGANDA

Intro

In these 14 days your safaris you will explore the hidden treasures of Uganda the Pearl of Africa. We start our Safari with from the Sipi Falls in the eastern part of Uganda, through Pian-Upe Wildlife Reserve and Kidepo Valley National Park in the North-eastern part to the Murchison Falls in the Midwestern part of the country to Kibale National Park and Queen Elizabeth and Our trip will end in Bwindi Impenetrable National park a home of Mountain Gorillas in the South Western part of Uganda We will proceed to the primate capital of the world in kibale national for chimpanzee tracking and later proceed to the Medley of Wonders Queen Elizabeth National Park. 

In these 14 days you will have an opportunity to encounter the diverse culture of Uganda, how these beautiful and amazing people live, their life style and culture is very interesting. Uganda is so rich and diverse in culture with 56 tribe across the country speaking different tribes but having a lot in common to share at the same time.

DAY 1 Arrival at the Airport 

Arrival at the airport, pick up and transfer to your Hotel to rest and freshen up and overnight stay.

DAY 2 Transfer to Sipi Falls

Morning breakfast and drive to Sipi falls, in the far east of Uganda one of the spectacular falls we have in Uganda, enroute Mbale for Lunch and after lunch we proceed to Sipi falls in Kapachorwa for a hiking experience at Sipi falls and another adventurous activity known as abseiling (optional though) if you can dare. In this activity you abseil from 100 metres falls to its bottom. You wouldn’t love to miss this as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of Kapchorwa, the sunsets and sun rises. At night you will have a cultural performance from the Sebei people on of the tribes that live in Kapchorwa around Sipi Falls.

DAY 3  Transfer to Pian Upe Wildlife reserve

Early morning after breakfast we transfer from Sipi Falls in Kapchorwa to Pian Upe wildlife reserve Uganda’s largest wildlife reserves a home for Cheetahs and Ostriches. A game drive in Pian Upe will leave you amazed how this reserve is endowed, the flat underrated plains of Pian Upe that make the beautiful scenery, the birds sweetly singing in the tree, would leave your experience in Uganda memorable. While in Pian Upe you will encounter the Tepeth People another tribe that lives near the wildlife reserve. The tepeth originally are fruit gatherers and hunter and cattle keepers as well, with amazing cultural dances. You wouldn’t love to miss them. We will travel with our lunch and have our lunch enroute and drive to Moroto for overnight stay

DAY 4 Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park 

Early morning breakfast after we drive to the true African’s Wilderness in Kidepo valley National Park, in the north eastern corner of Uganda. Along the way on your journey you will enjoy the beautiful mountain ranges of Mount Moroto and Mount Morongole in Moroto. We will have our lunch enroute in Kotido. On arrival, to Kidepo we will drive straight to the lodge to freshen up and have dinner.

DAY 5 Game drive and Cultural Experience 

Early in the morning after breakfast, we will head for a game drive in the Narus valley, the park consists of the two major valleys; the Kidepo and Narus valleys.  This unique endowed and stunning Park will give you true taste of the African savannah park. The park has a number of wildlife including; Buffaloes, Cheetahs, Leopards, Ostriches, Lions, elephants and unique terrain in all Ugandan national park but also a rewarding park.

After a successful game drive, we will have lunch and later visit the local communities living around the park, the Karamojong community who live around the park and help in community policing in case of any poachers and encroachers of the park. The jumping dance of the Karamajong and their story will leave you amazed and stunned.

DAY 6 Transfer to Murchison falls National Park 

On day 6 after having breakfast we will drive to Murchison falls Uganda’s largest and oldest National park located in north western part of Uganda. Through our journey to Murchison from Kidepo you will see the awesome Manyata of the Karamonjo people of Uganda large herds of cattle, which is part of their culture since they are pastoralists. Lunch will be enroute to Murchison falls. We shall check in at

DAY 7 Game drive and Launch Cruise on the Nile 

Day 7 we start off our day with early morning breakfast, after breakfast we will go for a game drive for another treat in the wild to encounter more wildlife

After the game drive we will have lunch at the lodge. And after lunch we will head for an afternoon launch cruise on the Nile towards the bottom of the falls. This is a 2-3 hours experience on the Nile, while you enjoy viewing the different aquatic life on the river banks especially the crocodiles, Hippos and the wallowing Buffalos and Elephants till we arrive on the bottom of the falls. After all these activities you will get into the van to back to the lodge for dinner

DAY 8 Drive to Hoima for Cultural Experience 

On day 8 of your trip we drive west wards of the park to Hoima Cultural Lodge after our breakfast for another cultural experience, among the Banyoro people. As you have lunch at Hoima Cultural Lodge you will be entertained by a cultural troop. You will enjoy the Kinyige dance of the Banyoro people and the story telling. After lunch we will head to Mparo tombs where the Omukama Kabalega the great King of Bunyoro Kitara Empire where he was buried.

Later still in the evening as you enjoy your dinner you will be entertained by the same cultural troop.

DAY 9 Transfer to Kibale National Park   

After morning breakfast, we set off for Kibale National Park from Hoima, through Kagadi, Kyenjojo to Fortportal. We shall have a stopover to get some refreshments as we proceed to Fort portal where we shall have our lunch of the day from.

DAY 10 Track Chimpanzees and Cultural at Bigodi experience  

Having had a wonderful night, in primate capital of the World, we begin our day with morning breakfast before we go to track Chimpanzees, after breakfast we will go for briefing at the visitor information centre to be briefed before we enter the forest to track chimpanzees.

After the Chimp tracking activity, we will visit Bigodi for a swamp walk, and a community experience however this will be after lunch.

The day will be concluded at Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental Development. (KAFRED) as we interact with local communities especially the women who engage themselves in craft making.

DAY 11 Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and afternoon Launch cruise  

Breakfast and Drive to Queen Elizabeth National parl breakfast, for a launch cruise on Kazinga Channel after lunch at lodge in Queen Elizabeth.

The Kazinga Channel Boat cruise brings a breath-taking experience on the river banks full of birdlife and wildlife as they come to wallow during the afternoon to cool down their bodies and especially the hippos and the Buffalos that come to take water after a hot afternoon while feeding.

Long the Kazinga Channel it’s hard to miss the giant elephants especially in the afternoon.

DAY 12 Game drive in Ishasha Sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park   

Day 12 of your trip, you will have breakfast before you head for a morning game drive in Ishasha Sector for the tree climbing Lions. After the game drive we will drive to the Impenetrable forest for mountain Gorillas, located in the southwest corner of Uganda, inhabiting more than 50% of the remaining mountain Gorillas in the world.

DAY 13 Track Gorillas in the Morning and Batwa Cultural Experience  

Morning Breakfast, thereafter head to the briefing areas with your packaged lunch as you head to the forest to track Gorillas, without doubt you will see the Gorillas the world’s greatest wildlife experiences and a thrilling close encounter with the Gorillas will leave you amazed.

After a 3hrs-4hrs walk tracking the Gorillas we will head to one of the exciting tribes in Uganda the Batwa community for a cultural experience with the batwa community, one of the authentic and indigenous tribes we have here in Uganda. This will be climax our 14 days tour around Uganda the Pearl of Africa.

DAY 14 Departure for Kampala
