This 4-day trip will head to Lake Bunyonyi, (the second deepest Lake in Africa), located in the South-western part of Uganda in Kabale. The Lake covers an area of about 61 Square Kilometres above sea level. This fresh water lake is 25km long and 7km wide with 29 Islands and with a varying depth between 44 meters to 900 meters.

The lake derives its name from the word Bunyonyi which literary means little Birds. This Lake has a variety of Bird species and a good place for bird watchers. The temperatures at the Lake reach 25 C/77 F. The lake is surrounded by the beautiful terraced hills. These hills are terraced by the local tribes the Bakiga living around in the area. As they carry out cultivation on subsistence level offering a beautiful scenery

Pick Up and Transfer from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi
Pick Up and Transfer from your Hotel to Kabale in south-Western Uganda. The Journey itself is an experience of its own, you will have a stopover on the Equator in that divides the world into two hemispheres and experience the water experiment that shows how water swirls to different directions in the opposite hemispheres in Kayabwe on Masaka Road. Have a lunch stopover in Mbarara and proceed direct to Lake Bunyonyi. On your way you will have views of the beautiful sceneries of the kigezi hills and many other stunning wonders along the Road. y

DAY 2 Boat Ride on Lake Bunyonyi And Visiting Batwa the Community

Breakfast, thereafter, head for a Boat ride on the lake to the famous Island on the lake. They are around 29 islands on the Lake; however, you will have an opportunity to visit at least 5 famous and historic ones including the punishment island. As you enjoy the Boat Ride you also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the terraces of the different hills of Kigezi and the amazing atmosphere of Lake Bunyonyi. After the Boat ride, lunch at the Lodge and after lunch you visit the batwa community on one of the Island on the lake. These Batwa people are so interesting due to their size in stature with amazing culture that is still authentic.

DAY 3 Ziplinning and Drive to Lake Mburo for Evening Launch Cruise

Begin the day with breakfast in the morning, before you head for another exciting activity on the Lake; Ziplining, crossing over the deepest lake on a cable rope. This activity is very safe and secure. It’s one of the most famous activities on Lake Bunyonyi that you wouldn’t love to miss while on Lake Bunyonyi. After ziplinning we will leave Kabale for Mbarara for lunch and proceed to Lake Mburo National Park for the evening boat/launch trip on Lake Mburo one of the smallest lakes we have in Uganda but endowed with a number of aquatic life.

DAY 4 Morning Game Drive and Departure for Kampala

Begin the day with morning breakfast, before you go for the morning game drive in Lake Mburo. While on the game drive there are higher chances of spotting the Leoprads, Hyenas, Giraffes, Buffalos among other exciting wildlife.
After the game drive, head back to the Lodge for early lunch and depart for Kampala/Entebbe for your flight
